Champ des possibles

The Champ des possibles is a former empty lot abandoned by the railway in 1976 and purchased by the City of Montreal in 2006. Left to its own devices for 30 years it produced a natural explosion of diverse wild flora, and became at once a habitat for biodiversity, a relaxing space for fresh air, inspiration, discovery and play, and a community meeting place. Baptised Champ des Possibles by the local organization Friends of the Champ des Possibles that lobbied for its preservation, the land was officially zoned as a green space in 2013.

Phénomena and Les Filles électriques LOVE this innovative project, an idealistic and poetic venture typical of the Mile End’s atypical vibe. It is an honour to continue our collaboration once again this year by bringing intriguing and unusual performances to this magical place.
